Welcome to Idaho and the Treasure Valley, this page is all about life and enjoyment in the Boise Valley. We have unique examples of a vast booming metropolis which is growing and contributing to our valley.
Our out-door activities include tubing the Boise river in the summer, to mountain skiing at Bogus Basin just 30 minutes from town and Brundage Mountain in McCall. Idaho is also home to the nation’s newest resort, known as Tamarack located just two hours from Boise.
If you are a hiker or biker, we have one of the nation’s largest systems of trails on pavement and off. The Boise river greenbelt transverses across the valley and provides enjoyment to young and elders. Hunting and fishing are all within driving distance.
Find out why Forbes magazine has stated that Boise is one of the best cities for business and careers. We have great weather and four seasons. You can count on having lots of sunny days and for the winter enthusiasts, we have our share of the snow days. Snow mobile your way on the provided trails to view the deer, elk and other wildlife.
If you are a race fanatic, the area provides for several sports activities. Drag racing fans can witness the high speed excitement just 15 minutes from town with Firebird Raceway. Horse racing is back at the Western Idaho fairgrounds, now known as Expo Idaho.
As we grow and develop, our city has plenty of cultural activities. Boise has one of the few Black history museums in the country, and with the Basque Museum, we have great diversity. Visit the Idaho Shakespeare festival throughout the summer months, it is performed out-doors with the backdrop of the Boise foothills.
